Installing a Spacer and Long Studs - Part 2

I really don't know what kind of brake shoes I have. They have a lot left, so they probably aren't asbestos; however, I know that even now you can find asbestos shoes. Also, there is a lot of built up dust from earlier years as well. Certainly asbestos was used on the brakes earlier in Isabelle's life. Before I start banging on the drum, I always clean it up and spray it with WD-40 to minimize dust. I'll clean off the oil later:

I decided to grind off the rivet with an angle grinder:

After I ground down all three, I was able to punch the hub through:

You can see the rivets sticking through the hub. I decided to remove these as well so that they didn't fall back into the brake assembly:
