Replacing the Headlight Dimmer Switch
I pulled the old dimmer switch. The headlights didn't work at all, so I figured I'd hook up a multimeter up to it and see if the contacts were good. The contacts were not good. None of them:
I started to walk down the hill to pick one up at an auto parts store that is about five blocks away. A block down I saw a box of Hot Wheel track with loop-the-loop pieces and a finish line that automatically determined what Hot Wheel finished first. I thought my son might like it, and it was a free leftover from an earlier garage sale. So, instead of a new dimmer switch I brought the race set home. My son and I had fun hunting for cars that might work on the track:
