Fixing the Tailgate Handle

The tailgate handle was a mess:

Handle 1

I found a nice, new handle for $18:

Handle 2

The handle bolts on to the tailgate with three bolts:

Here I've removed the old tailgate handle and put some rust treatment on the surrounding metal:

Bend the bars perpendicular and slide the handle over:

Handle 5

Here is the new handle installed:
